Parasite, By Darcy Coates

Parasite , by Darcy Coates, is a fun read. It's faced paced, filled with action and horror. The book kicks off strong with the discovery of a new life form on a space outpost. The life form is black, shiny, and slimy. It's also strong, fast, and has no mercy when latching itself onto hosts. It doesn't discriminate. If you're a suitable host then you have problems. But you won't know you have problems until you see your best friend's face split open revealing your friend is now a people suit. Parasite jumps between different substations and outposts throughout the solar system. Many characters from different stations take their turn facing off with the invaders. Panic runs rampant, and a need for communication takes center stage. Survivors need to alert the rest of humanity so they can fight the threat before there's nothing left to save. Darcy Coates writes in a way that keeps the story moving at a brisk pace without sacrificing detail. She keeps you on the edge of your seat and unsettles you like the pro she is. Sci-Fi meets horror and action in Parasite . Is definitely worth a read.
